Cry all you want, but Katy Perry has taken her relationship with Justin Trudeau to the next level—the pop icon finally (!!!) went Instagram official with the former Canadian Prime Minister by sharing the cutest post on Dec. 6. Yes, I am jealous.
Katy ripped the Band-Aid and hard launched her relationship with Trudaddy—the internet's words, not mine—by sharing an adorable carousel with photos and videos from their recent time together in Tokyo.
“Tokyo times on tour and more ( ◠‿◠ ) 🎄🍣🐡🥞💐☃️♥️,” Katy captioned the post, which included a relationship confirming snap on slide two of the couple smiling together, looking cute, and being the envy of singles basically everywhere.
As if we needed more proof of their relationship at this point, Katy also included a video of Justin lovingly gazing at her while trying a piece of sushi at a restaurant. He even placed a protective, muscular arm around the back of Katy's chair, further confirming his commitment and adoration of her (no, I am not okay)!
In between quiet fits of jealousy, Katycats in the comments congratulated their fav on the hard launch. “I just know that Justin is the new MINISTER of her Heart ♥️ and we are SO HAPPY FOR THAT !!!!” one fan wrote, while another user hilariously added that Katy gave fans the “TRUDADDY LAUNCH” we've all been waiting for.
Katy's hard launch comes just two days after she and Justin met with the former Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida, on Dec. 4. In a tweet, Kishida called the “California Gurls” singer Justin’s “partner,” according to X’s translation.
“Former Canadian Prime Minister @JustinTrudeau visited Japan with his partner and joined my wife and me for lunch,” Kishida captioned a group photo of him and his wife with Katy and Justin.
Justin didn't push back either—“Great to see you @kishida230. Katy and I were so glad to have the chance to sit down with you and Yuko,” he replied to the tweet.
It's not too surprising that Katy and Justin are taking the next step. A source told People on Nov. 19 that the couple is seriously enjoying their time together.
